My six-year-old, sensory play-loving son is learning about CLOUDS this week. He is always game for a sensory bin, and I am equally happy to give him something new to keep him busy in independent play.
This "cloud" inspired sensory bin was quick, easy and super cheap. Win-win-win! I mostly wandered around my house and dug through a couple of bins full of old arts-and-crafts odds and ends. But it worked! It was a win for the little dude, as well.
What I included:
Sheet of bubble wrap from a recent Amazon package
A handful of Halloween "spiderweb" material
Cotton balls
Q-tips
White pipe cleaners
White gift-wrap ribbon
Pieces of white yarn
Blue modeling clay
White & blue playdoh
Instead of mood music or meditation, I think I'll make me a cloud dish to touch now and then when I need to close my eyes and dream......maybe even make a few for some people I know and give them to them for Christmas.
