MONDAY, MARCH 31st
Malachi: V is for VIPER
> Physical Therapy: Time in standing frame (1 hour) for MALACHI
> Letter Journal: Practice writing the letter "V" in journal
> Video: "Types of Snakes for Kids" by Learning with Ameilia (YouTube)
> Video: "Deadly Venomous Viper" by National Geographic (YouTube)
> Viper snake worksheet for A/B color pattern practice (maths) with bingo dobbers (occupational therapy skills) (worksheet template on Pinterest HERE)
> Coloring & cutting skills practice (OT) to make a spiraling snake (Pinterest inspo HERE)
> Reading: Poem excerpt "snakes" from Eric Carle's Animals, Animals collection
> Video: "8 Different Viper Snakes" by Animals Life (YouTube)
> Discussion: Talk about viper snakes and practice using "descriptive words" on Malachi's AAC communication device
> Math & fine motor skills: Practice counting and color patterns, creating long "viper snakes" with multi-colored macaroni
> Floor mat workout and physical therapy exercises for MALACHI
> Playtime: Snake themed sensory bin
> Letter Journal: Practice writing name to finish "desk work"

Outing: Hands-on Children's Museum in Olympia, WA

TUESDAY, APRIL 1st
Medical Appointment: Infusion Clinic for MALACHI at Seattle Children's Hospital -- a special medication to help with low bone density infused via IV. This was a long, three-hour appointment.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2nd
Outing: Adventuring with South Sound Explorers at Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA
This is a homeschool playgroup that meets at different parks and playgrounds in our region. The group meets for three hours every Wednesday morning. The boys both participate regularly in this group.

Social Group: Animal Allies Club for MALACHI at Lacey Timberland Library (Lacey, WA)
A monthly club for kids (ages 6-12) who love animals. The kids learn about local animals in need and work on crafts to help them. During the April 2025 meeting, the kids learned about sloths, and then, made cat- and dog-themed picture frames.

THURSDAY, APRIL 3rd
Outing: Baby Story Time!
On Thursdays, Malachi and I take Deacon to a Baby Story Time program at our local library. It is hugely beneficial for Deacon to engage in the singing and dancing and to play with his peer group. Malachi enjoys the stories, too.
Early Intervention (Birth-to-Three) Speech Therapy at DuPont Public Library in DuPont, WA, for DEACON
Outing: Hiking at Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia, WA
FRIDAY, APRIL 4th
Outing: Preschool Story Time at Lacey Timberland Library (Lacey, WA)

Malachi: V is for VEGETABLE
> Letter Journal: Practice writing the letter "V" in journal
> Video: "What is the Difference Between Fruits and Vegetables?" by SciShow Kids (YouTube)
> Discussion: Used Malachi's AAC communication device to talk about fruits and veggies in our refrigerator, focusing on "descriptive words" and sensory exploration of each item. We talked about bananas, apples, onions, and ginger root. We also compared produce of different sizes to practice using descriptive words like "big" "large" "medium" "small" and "little"
