> Book: Green is a Chile Pepper: A Book of Colors by Roseanne Thong (with AAC language practice and modeling "colors" using Malachi's communication device)



WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26th


Social Group: AAC Social Group six-week session for MALACHI


Malachi's speech therapy center is hosting a weekly club for young, emerging AAC language learners. The kids participate in a story time activity and guided play while practicing using their device.

> Physical Therapy: Time in standing frame (30 minutes)

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27th


Outing: Baby Story Time!

On Thursdays, Malachi and I take Deacon to a Baby Story Time program at our local library. It is hugely beneficial for Deacon to engage in the singing and dancing and to play with his peer group. Malachi enjoys the stories, too.


Outing: "ROCK-HOUNDING" along Newaukum River at Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis, WA

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28th


Malachi: R is for ROCKS (cont.)


> Physical Therapy: Time in standing frame for MALACHI (35 minutes)

> Examine and use Rock ID app to identify rocks collected during Rock-hounding adventure on Thursday

> Examine rocks using "Rocknoculars" (microscope for rocks)

> Set up rock tumbler machine and start a trial run

> Physical Therapy: Floor exercises for MALACHI



Deacon: Number 5

> Practice counting to 5 on hands

> Fine Motor Practice: Sticking color dots along lines of Number 5

> Trace and count FIVE fingered-hand on paper


Outing: Family afternoon walk to the local ice cream shop




SATURDAY, MARCH 1st


Outing: The boys' FIRST protest!!

We took part in the nationwide protests against the Trump Administration's illegal firing of public servants in the National Park Service, Forest Service, etc. We drove out to the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park.
