> Letter Journal: Practice writing the letter "C" in journal

> Video: "Camel Facts for Kids" by Fun Learning (YouTube)

> Art Activity: Camel watercolor sheet -- with AAC language modeling

> Video: "Camel Riding Adventure in Moroccan Desert" by Oliver and Lucas - Educational Videos for Kids

> Occupational Therapy exercise: Camel stencil project using bingo dobber

> Camel coloring sheet

> Letter Journal: Practice writing name to finish "desk work"

> Physical Therapy: Short-sitting practice on workbench with puzzles



DEACON -- "Color YELLOW"

> Book of Choice: "ABC - Deconstructing Gender" by Ashley Molesso and Chess Needham (social-emotional learning)



TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1st


Outing: Forest School Tuesday!!

The boys will both be participating in a Forest School program for two hours every Tuesday morning. They are part of a large group of kids and will spend the time learning about nature and engaging in unstructured play.


Dad had the day off work and joined us this week at Forest School!

> Sensory Activity: "Cloud" themed sensory bin

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2nd


MALACHI -- "C is for CAT" (with Deacon in tow!)


> Book: "Stretchy McHandsome" by Judy Schachner (a lovable book about a funny, stray cat and his new friend)

> Outing: Pawsific NorthWest Cat Cafe in Olympia, WA


> Visit: Halloween Store for some fun and costume-hunting


DEACON -- "Color YELLOW"


> Yellow breakfast: Eggs, breakfast corn, bananas, yellow peaches


> Outing: "Reptile Lady" at the local public library -- the boys met a tortoise, an alligator and snakes



THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3rd


Outing: Baby Story Time!

On Thursdays, Malachi and I take Deacon to a Baby Story Time program at our local library. It is hugely beneficial for Deacon to engage in the singing and dancing and to play with his peer group. Malachi enjoys the stories, too.


Year-Long Project: Discover Dairy Adopt-A-Cow

The boys have "adopted" a calf this year from a rural dairy farm and will be learning about farm animal care and wellbeing, sustainable farm management practices, and the dairy industry during 2024-25 school year.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4th


> Letter Journal: Practice writing the letter "Ch" in journal

> Video: "Crazy Phonics Songs: CH - Chit Chat Chicken" by Kids vs Life (YouTube)

> Video: "15 Interesting Facts About Chickens" by Steleo - Educational Videos for Kids (YouTube)

> Outing: Visit to Winlock, WA, to see the "Largest Egg in the World" and hunt for "chickens" around town

> Medical Appointment: Orthopedics Clinic at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Portland, OR
